DeWalt Power Tools, Contractor Tools & Accessories
The beginnings of DeWalt Power Tools came in the early 1920s, when Raymond E. DeWalt perfected the first radial arm saw to increase production and provide more versatility at the woodworking millhe supervised. A few short years later, the DeWalt Products Company was formed, launching an electric, universal woodworking machine dubbed the DeWalt “Wonder-Worker.”
As with most other companies of the time, the 1940s saw DeWalt joining in the wartime national defense effort. As the company grew, so did their innovations. Bench grinders, metal cutting tools, portable electric power tools, and ultimately, cordless tools were added to their product line.
Today, the DeWalt Power Tools lineup features more than 200 tools and 800-plus accessories, including plate joiners, routers, laminate trimmers, sanders and grinders, circular, chop, miter, table, jig and reciprocating saws, drills and drivers and many more. Their famous line of DeWalt cordless tools remain among the industry’s most powerful and longest running of any competing cordless tools around.
