Black & Decker Power Tools
The Black & Decker power tool brand is a subsidiary of parent company “Stanley Black & Decker. The Black & Decker brand began in the early 1900s, when Duncan Black and Alonzo Decker partnered in Baltimore, Maryland. Within a few years of launching their company, Black and Decker succeeded in obtaining the world’s first portable power tool patent and the rest, as they say, is history.
In 2010, Black & Decker partnered with Stanley Tools, initially created by Frederick Stanley in the mid 1800s, to form a new company called Stanley Black & Decker. Today, a number of well-known power tool brands fall under this company’s corporate umbrella, including DeWalt, Bostitch, Mac Tools, Porter Cable and, of course, the individual Stanley and Black & Decker brands.
The Black & Decker power tool product offering includes a broad line of tools for both commercial and home improvement applications. From cordless and corded drills and drivers, to a wide variety of saws, to sanders, grinders, routers and rotary tools, the Black & Decker line is among the most respected power tool and accessory product lineups on the market today. |
